Great humidor! Easy to set up and season. Most importantly, the seal is nice and tight. Humidor keeps the relative humidity very well. Great box for the price!!!!
I don't know what ring gauge cigar they used to get 150 capacity, but I can tell you that it only holds 70, 50 ring gauge with using the dividers. Assembly was super easy, seasoned it , loaded it up, using boveda 69% humidity packs 3 60g and 1 320g and once it recovered from adding smokes it has held 69%. It will drop some when door is opened so if you know what you are going for and are quick about it you don't lose too much and recover it quite quick. The amount of times and how much it has to recover will effect how long your humidity packs last, if it doesn't recover or you see that it is dropping and not holding your humidity level be sure to refresh/replace them. Capacity with dividers and ring gauge 50 is 20 top drawer, 30 middle drawer, 20 bottom drawer. I am pleased with it , it is working well, just disappointed it doesn't hold as many as they claimed, 50 ring gauge is most common size so I expected that is what they used for capacity calculation. I went back and added this one's big brother which they claimed was 250 capacity which turned out to only be 143 50 ring gauge, had I known I would have just got 2 of the larger ones.
Solid 5/5 rating from me for: an accurate hygrometer (so many are junk), a proper seal, and great functionality and aesthetics!
I’ll go through those in order:
Hygrometer: Tested it in a Boveda calibration bag with a 75% bag and the hygrometer tested within +/- 1% relative humidity which is perfect! I’ve also kept a second hygrometer in the humidor for a while to ensure no drift and it hasn’t drifted yet!
Seal: I conditioned with humidor liquid and wet all surfaces on the inside. Let it sit for several days with soaked paper towels inside. Once it was seasoned I loaded it from my other humidors (cigars ALREADY at proper humidity) and it has worked flawlessly since then! Holds humidity well and I’m able to rely on liquid humidity systems instead of expensive boveda packs.
Functionality/Aesthetic: The drawers all work great and slide well. It’s super easy to sort everything in this humidor and it’s very spacious! The added bottom drawer gives you a little extra space for accessories which is always nice (lighters, papers, cigar cutters, etc). Aesthetically the humidor is downright gorgeous. It has a beautiful stain color and comes packaged incredibly well so that there is no chance of any exterior damage. The window is plenty big and is great for viewing your collection without breaking the humidity seal.
Again, solid 5/5 from me for the above reasons!
