Beautiful to look at but for the price it should maintain that luster.

This keyboard is beautiful! The box is elegant and the presentation is really stunning. The appearance of the keyboard is a cross between a classic typewriter and something more steampunk (just look at those little Num Lock and Caps lights!).

Based on appearance, this seems like a bargain.

Using it is another matter.

I work 8 hours a day at my computer. The response on these keys is ... well, hard to describe. Unlike an electric typewriter, which was very sensitive to the touch, and unlike a manual typewriter which took some effort to push, these keys respond well but are at the same time a bit awkward. It's not like using a typewriter, but it's not quite like using a typical keyboard either.

You can't use this silently. The key striking the keyboard creates a loud 'clack' sound. It's not the same as the sound of an electric typewriter, but I suspect that's part of the intent.

I type a lot and have grown used to a standard computer keyboard and I found that typing on this I tended to hit a lot of the wrong keys (mostly with my left hand). There's something just slightly off enough to fit this style of keys, that if I were to use this a lot, I'd have to re-adjust.

Most of this I could live with and could re-adapt as necessary, but there's one more problem...

I waited to plug this in to my computer (no problem - it's a plug-and-play device) so that I could use it consistently for three weeks.

Three weeks! Take note! Now look at my pictures. The print on my "Shift" and "A" keys is already wearing off. Yes, I use my keyboard a lot. That's not the end of the world, of course, but for an $80+ keyboard, this should not be happening.

If you are interested in this mostly for display, then definitely it's worth it. If you plan to use this regularly, be wary.

Unique design

PROS:
> It has a nice antique look and design, although a little difficult to pair with other devices in aesthetic
> It connects well to my pc and didn't have too much troubleshooting
CON:
> The keys are a little too sensitive when typing
> The lights on the top corner don't fit with the colours/ look of the rest of the keyboard

Almost like getting out the old Royal typewriter :)

The keyboard is solid and feel and sounds like a typewriter. I found my speed to be no different from an ergo keyboard I've used for years. I just wanted something different.

I like the wood grain and overall, the keys are sturdy and placed well.

Stylish mechanical keyboard

The keys feel and sound "clicky". I can type on it at full speed. The keys are where you'd expect them to be so there wasn't much of a learning curve switching from a traditional square key keyboard to this one.

Stylistically, it looks great. I'd describe the colour theme as "sepia". And it does look like a keyboard. It's a statement piece.

Stays in place, cable is long.

Looks great on the desk

Aesthetically, this is a pretty sharp-looking keyboard, the round keys giving it the style of an Underwood typewriter from the 1930s/1940s.

Functionally, it works well plugged into a Mac, with it quickly being identified as being ANSI-style. If you're used to the feel of a Mac butterfly-type keyboard, the sensation of the mechanical keys is a bit different – for those with a light touch, the keys are reactive at mid-stroke, though if you want the tactile feel of the key bottoming out, a more defined press will help you relive how old electric typewriters – like an IBM Selectric – used to work.

The keyboard has a pretty substantial weight behind it which, combined with the adjustable rubberized feet, means it's going to stay put on your desktop as you work away on it.
